ONE Lawndale

As leaders from both North and Saouth Lawndale, the steering committees of the North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council (NLCCC) and the Marshall Square Resource Network (MSRN), we stand together in
solidarity as One Lawndale commubity.

While this time it´s George Floyd´s name that echoes through our streets, the events of this past week are the predictable consequence of centirues of disinvestment, xenophobia and state-sponsored racism.

We stand as one to grieve the murder and detention of black and brown bodies, We stand as one to denounce any adn all forms of violence or intimidation between our communities, We stand as one to disarm insidious rhetoric and divisive misinformation--whether it comes from down the street or from the White House.

Today, we step out in unity to reject white supremacy and the systems that have upheld it for far too long, to begin healing and rebuilding.

Our fight is the same, our breath is the same. We stand in love as One Lawndale.
